Extra-curricular activities are a crucial part of college life
as they add more quality and fun to campus life. IITM believes in expanding student horizons beyond academics by providing constructive
learning environment to develop their communication and leadership skills resulting in self-confidence and enhanced personal growth.
Participation in committees, clubs, sports and other pursuits outside the classroom can help students in inculcating new skills leading to novel learning experiences.
These activities give hands-on experience and provide a large spectrum for demonstrating talent and contributing value to society.
Co-Curricular Activities
In order to ensure all-embracing development of the students,
the curricula is augmented with co-curricular activities. To a great extent, theoretical knowledge is manifested when a
relevant co-curricular activity related to the content taught in the classroom is organized. Intellectual aspects of
personality are accomplished by classroom learning, while character building, spiritual growth and creative aspects are
initiated by co-curricular activities. These activities along with formal education channelize the
hidden potential of students and further contribute towards making them responsible citizens.

Eminent personalities are invited from both the academic and corporate worlds to come
and share their valuable experiences with the students;
these sessions enrich our students’ learning experience and expand their horizons vis a vis the global business environment.

These regular academic events are critical for sharing
knowledge and research among our faculty members, students and scholars. They act as platforms for interaction
with academicians and provide avenues for sharing information. Faculty members and students are exposed to
new paradigms and latest developments in their relevant area through our conferences, seminars & Webinars.
Our conferences have also been funded by government agencies such as the Ministry of Science and Technology, DRDO and Indian Council for Social Science and Research (ICSSR).

students gain practical experience apart from theoretical knowledge and fulfill the curriculum demand. Such activities supplement and enrich classroom teaching and encourage new
interests amongst students. It also makes them more aware of community resources and helps them relate their educational experience to the outside world.
